Let's face it....I'm only going to do this periodically. It is another one of those things that I have the best of intentions to do but it keeps getting moved farther and farther down the list. Luckily...there are not many of you depending on this for entertainment!
Let's see...I will just choose photos from the summer and narrate as I go.
Madison and I visited Mimi, Abe and Mira on the West Coast in May. We enjoyed ourselves too much....at coffee shops, Point Lobos, on the beach, shopping downtown Santa Cruz, creating personalized perfume, eating (especially chocoate), and just hanging out and visiting at home!
We had to eat chocolate in honor of Dad's birthday....we ate it just after we sang happy birthday to him via cell phone from downtown Santa Cruz!
We enjoyed the lake on our "new to us" pontoon boat! The Medlins, Ojures, and my girlfriends, Carol, Sherry and Brandi, shared our fun on the water....here are some scenes.
And speaking of how much we've enjoyed our boat....to celebrate my birthday in August, Randy planned a moonlit lake trip for me that included a steak & shrimp kabob dinner and birthday cake among other good foods! The trip back into the dock was relaxing, romantic and beautiful as the moon flickered off the water.
Time on the lake has allowed us to spend much more time together as a family....it's something everyone enjoys. I know we will have many special memories as a result of owning this boat!
And then....there were horses...
Yes...that's right. Three of them. Beauty, the black horse pictured is McKenzie's horse...that she has dreamed of having since she was three. A very special "thank you" to Gary Koger for such a special gift to our daughter.
And....I don't know what we were thinking...maybe Beauty shouldn't be alone???? Anyway...we also bought Max (Randy's horse) and Lady Maye, my project. Brian Yates.....I am sure I will remember "you told me so" in the future!!! But for now, we are all enjoying them very much.
Having them has given us reason to spend more time on the farm...and there really is no other place quite so peaceful...
As I end this entry....the girls have started back to school. McKenzie and McKayla are fifth graders and Madison is a junior in high school. The photo of the three of them was taken on the first day of this school year.
Madison continues in her role as drum major for the WC Marching Band. This photo was at their first competition last Saturday 9/6/08.
McKenzie and McKayla just found out today, 9/11/08, that they will be playing major characters in the Fall Drama production!!! Can you believe my girls in DRAMA???? Ha...
I must go for now, as it is 12:49 a.m. my time. As you can see, we are blessed beyond measure. The Lord is good. May we only serve Him well in return for His graciousness.
I love you all and miss you being close enough to drop by! God bless you.
Kim
